Aranmula Parthasarathy temple is an ancient temple situated in district Pathanamtitta district. Near to the cultural village Aranmula. Temple is situated near river pamba.
The Village Aranmula is most beautiful and traditional village in Kerala. Beauty of temple increases the beauty of aranmula village and Kerala tourism.
Temple is in the name of Lord Krishna in the form of Partha Sarathy. Prathan is the other name of warrior Arjuna one among panga pandava.
It is believed that in the war of Mahabharatha Lord Krishna was Arjuna’s charioteer. This form of Lord Krishna was worshiped in the temple Aranmula. So the temple is named as Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple.

Aranmula vallasadya is a cerebration in Aranmula Temple in which delicious and traditional food is offered to the people. This is conducted in the day of Ashtamirohiny( which is believed that Lord krishna’s birthday).
This is conducted during the festival of Aranmuala Palliyodam boat race. It is believed that Lord Krishna will come to the Valla Sadya festival to take food offering from people.
Aranmula parthasarathy temple festivals
Aranmula Plliyodam Boat race is the main Festival and attraction of the Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple. It is conducted in the season of Onam.
Palliyodam is the Snake boat which now a days used for boat race in kerala and in old days used to carry food items like rise.
Another Festival of Aranmula Temple is Khandavandanam in the memory of Khandavana Forest fire in Mhabharatha. In this festival Temple will be decorated with dried plants.
